I have a redbird pincushion that lynnie made for me. It's very pretty, and I take it out to display by my Christmas tree each year.

Dunster, why the eBay connection to a pattern you are selling?....do we have a selling section?

My very favorite is the one attached to a thread catcher which was gifted to me by a quilting friend about 8 years ago. It sits on my sewing table all the time. When I need something more portable I use a wrist pin cushion that I made by glueing a small oblong cushion to one of the wrist tape dispensers. It's small and very comfy to wear unlike some I have tried on.

I made pin cushions for my quilt group. Bought tiny clay pots, stuffed them and covered with an old piece of antique quilt (cutter quilt) that was used to pieces. Glue the fabric down inside the pot and they finish up with a round top and turn out really cute. You could use any fabric to cover. Hope this is helpful.

The Riley Blake fabric site has a ton of freebie pin cushions! It has the old style trailer one with real wheels that is so dang cute! Check it out sometime, pages to go through. There are fish, doughnut style ones stacked, birds, houses. Lots to choose from. I was just over there a couple days ago.

I would think about allergies if a pin cushion were filled with dog hair.

This may sound very foolish, but I can only find the pattern for the little camper. How do I find any others? Very Un-user friendly site. The only way I could find any other patterns was t scroll at random until I find one. Who has time for that? I want to make pin cushions for Christmas, but without help, it will not be any of their patterns.

I know a lot of people fill pin cushions with the crushed walnut shells. Some people are severely allergic to nuts. I have one filled with walnut shells that I keep on a display shelf and I don't use it. My DD is very allergic and could have a reaction if she touches a pin that was in the cushion.

A couple days ago I ran across a links page there that showed different pin cushions on many pages. It was a challenge by many sites giving input. I will try and find it again.
