I made one years ago, paper pieced. My friend, MaryAnn just made a king size, bright, beautiful Pineapple Quilt. She said she purchased the pineapple ruler and thought that it was great and she would definitely recommend anyone to purchase the ruler and use that method. She said it was worth the money to spend on the ruler, it made her life easier. She made four blocks at a time. Good luck!

I think it's down to personal preference. I enjoy paper piecing, and I don't have a problem removing the paper. I would go that way, but there's more than one way to skin the cat.

I'm on the Paper Piecing team. Pineapple is still on my bucket list, however, but I will paper piece it when I make it.

I just finished a quilt using Gyleen Fizgerald's ruler and method. I love the technique and the results.

I have done a lot of paper piecing. I enjoy the process. I have also just purchased and started using the creative grid mini pineapple ruler. It will make a 4-5 or 6" block. It took me some time to completely understand how to use the ruler but once my learning curve was over I felt it went to together much faster than paper piecing. It gives you the sizes to cut your fabric for each round. I am looking forward to using this ruler again.

I just ordered the mini pineapple ruler and can't wait to try it.
