Ping pong table
Does anyone have a ping pong table in their sewing room that doubles as a cutting table?
DH wants one but it has to work well as a cutting table as well. Thank you |
My mom does. It's also a great place to sandwich quilts. Good luck at keeping it cleaned off to play ping pong! I don't think I've seen the surface of my parents' ping pong table in many years.

I have a friend who uses a billiard table. It's perfect - it's very heavy, sturdy and stable. She has a billiard light hanging over it. My only concern would be that I'm too tall to use it for extended periods of time, but my friend is petite and it's perfect for her.

I have a ping pong table and love it. I put mine on 6" bed risers and it's a great height for cutting. I have several large cutting mats on it so I can cut in various places. We don't use it for ping pong often but when we do we just leave it on the risers. The extra height doesn't bother us at all.

I have a ping pong table in my quilting room. I love it -- it gives me so much space to lay out fabrics and cutting mats. I don't think I would ever give it up! But I will say we never use it for ping pong anymore!

I use a ping pong table on a pool table. Best huge cutting surface ever. It never is cleaned off to use for either game.

I used to have one to cut fabric and loved it. You can also use PVC pipe cut to the height you want to add to make your table higher, so you don't kill your back leaning over. We use that on a 6 foot table at quilting.
