Hi, I've read some of the posts for pinking rotary blades, but didn't find anything suiting my question.

When I use my pinking rotary blade, the rotary cutter doesn't flow as smooth as it does with a flat blade. It bumps and is like driving over a road full of potholes. Does anyone have any ideas why? My rotary cutter is a Fiskars, don't know off hand what brand the pinking blades are...

Sounds normal to me. Since the blade isn't flat, it won't roll perfectly smooth. Is it cutting your fabric? I sometimes have to go over mine a few times.

I have cut little chips out of my ruler with mine. A bumpy ride, for sure.

Thanks, I was wondering if I was doing something wrong, using the wrong brand or something but now I know it's normal. The fabric gets cut tho. I tried this for prelaundering prep purposes - I'm a proponent of preshrinking fabric.

I think most just "free hand" cut when using these. Using a ruler dulls them quicker and can take chunks out of them too :D:D:D
