Has anyone tried the pinking rotary blades found in rhe scrapbookong-craft department on fabric? I tried one (45 mm)
on a 4 thickness sample of fabric and it worked very well. They are oh so much cheaper than those in the fabric cutting department and are frequently on sale. I checked on e-bay and the rotary blades there, along with postage, cost more than in the fabric store. The rotary blade sharpeners do not do pinking blades.

This past July I was shopping in the Mennonite shops in the fingerlakes. They were using the pinking rotary blades to cut the fabric.

Have one I bought in a set for cutting fleece. Will have to try on regular fabric.

Thanks for the tip. I must remember that. I always use the pinking blades to cut the edges of my fabric before washing. It keeps it from fraying to much

I get my pinking blades when Hancock's has the 50% off notion sale. I do like them. Never thought to look in the scrapbooking are since I don't scrapbook anymore.

Last year my 3grandchildren and I made Christmas napkins just 2 hours before dinner. They got to pick out fabric for each person and I cut squares using the pinking blade. We had a blast matching fabric to each persons personality.
