Pinking Rotary Cutter
 

Has anyone used a pinking rotary cutter. I like the pinked edges on the precuts. Fabric does not ravel on them while working with them. Olfa and Fiskars both make a pinking blade. If you have used it, please let me know how you liked it.

I have the Olfa one. I've only used it a couple of times they really liked it.

I find the pinked edges of charms to be difficult to sew since I use a barrier to keep my seams accurate. Pinked edges are a bit weaker. I almost bought one once but decided I wouldn't use it much. Glad you don't find it difficult to sew with a pinked edge.

I have one and use it almost exclusively, to keep the edges from raveling when I pre-wash. It seems to work well for that. I don't know how it would be for cutting squares.

I have one for my Olfa cutter but don't use it much. It really eats up my mat.

I've used mine for cutting out silk pieces. It worked well.

I have 1 but only use it for things I don't want to hem (banners and Christmas curtains) so far.

I bought the Olfa one to work with some Minkee fabric and thought it was great. Also have used it to trim fabric before washing to see if it helped the fraying, which it did.

I used it for some books of home decorating fabrics I received. They were attached to paper to keep them from raveling. So I pinked the edges. It worked to prevent raveling. I think I will hand wash them.

I wouldn't use it on general quilt cuts, because I would worry about the seams. If you have a particular fabric that ravels a lot, you could try a very lightweight stabilizer or interfacing.
