Pinking shears

I have occasional need for pinking shears. The pair I have are too dull to do a good job. What are the best pinking shears that are very sharp and grip the fabric so it doesn’t slip?

I like these:

kind of pricey, but easy on the hands, and sharp

Have you seen the pinking blades for rotary cutters? They might not work for everything you might use the shears for, but they are pretty useful!

I bought these and like them a lot. Amazon under $9. I got free shipping. [h=1]ZXUY Pinking Shears Green Comfort Grips Professional Dressmaking Pinking Shears Crafts Zig Zag Cut Scissors Sewing Scissors[/h]

Gingher pinking shears are my favorite. I've had to use the Fiskar pinking shears, and they wouldn't cut for me. We occasionally get pinking shears in the shop to be sharpened. Sometimes it isn't a matter of not being sharp, it's a mater of how smoothly / un-smoothly they close. Sometimes it helps to oil the center screw. Our scissor sharpening guy says you can only sharpen pinking shears maybe 3 times before they can't be sharpened any more and still function. They kinda have to "live in a perfect world," to function properly.

Do they make micro-serrated pinking shears? Inquiring minds want to know....

Gingher are what I use. I got a brand new pair at a garage sale several years ago plus have the pair I purchased before that. Only thing I wish I could have got them left handed at the same price as a right handed pair.

I very seldom use pinking shears, but I have some from Kai that I like.
