I have looked and looked and have never found them. I too would love to have a smaller version.....say half that size. I have looked everywhere online...maybe someone with far better searching skills than I would be able to find them. :D |

Thanks Watterstide.....very interesting. Did you see the comment almost to the bottom of the page where a lady in 2009 said she missed the bid on a pair of 5 inch ones on Ebay from Australia? So maybe they are out there somewhere. You'd think in this day and age with all they do they could figure out a way to make them. But thanks for the interesting article.

I love Wiss brand shears. Nice quality product circa 1930's $15.40 on ebay. :) 5" pinking shears |
I have my mom's shears and they are quite heavy to use but somehow I can adjust my hand and they work great.

Gee, guess I'm lucky. I have a 5" pr. that I've had for about 40 years. Love them. They're by Wiss Model CB5

Fiskars makes spring loaded pinking shears AND scissors. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I'm grateful for the spring loaded. It sure helps the hands! Here's a link to see the pinking shears. JoAnn's carries Fiskars.

I've never seen the smaller ones. The pair I have I bought about 45 years ago. I mainly use them for trimming the ends of fabrics before I wash them - stops them unravelling.
|
I have my grandmothers left handed ones in four sizes. Do you want me to leave you a pair in my will?
All the females in our family are lefties - but there are no sewers in the next generation. I love them, I use them all the time. They are Sheffield Steel and Solingen. And keep this in mind if you get them sharpened ;) http://jimsharp.blogspot.com/2008/02...ng-shears.html |
