My favorite are the long silk pins with glass heads.

I vote for glue also!

I use Dritz extra fine glass head pins (size 22, 1-3/8") and I pin a lot. Don't like the flower head pins at all!

the long flat flower head pins are my first choice...I find them to be sharper than others and easy to find if I drop one.

Glenda, I think you would be happy using the red Wonder clips. I just purchased a pkg of 50; used them on a baby quilt this week end and was ever so pleased

Totally agree on this one.

I like mine sharp and about 1.25" - 1.5" long. I don't like them too thin and long as I find they bend. But I think the most important thing is how we pin.
I have all sorts of pins but I'm using Collins brand at the moment. They were given as a free gift with fabric purchase. I like them because they are strong. sharp and long.

I like the Clover pins too. The Patchwork ones blue and yellow and the red and white silk ones, but my favorite are the light green and orange glass head ones labeled quilt pins. They are fine, sharp and long.

Elmers washable glue works very well for me. Pins, not so much. I do use them, but prefer not to.

I like the flower head pins because they lay flat, but I also use the glass head pins if I am ironing. To match my points and intersections I glue. I tried the double pins, but the glue holds the intersections perfectly and I don't have to worry about sewing over pins.
