Have any of you used a pintuck in your quilts? Do you do it before you sandwich the batting and backing?

i haven't done that yet but you'll definitely want to do it before you sandwich.

Ok, thanks. I just learned how to do it last week. Shoot, I've had a double needle for years and didn't know how to use it!

Pintucks?

I haven't made pin tucks in quilts, but I"m sure it would look really nice. I usually make my pin tucks when I make my heirloom pillow cases.

I only made pintucks for my daughter clothes when she was little . I bet they would add a touch of class to the quilt.

The only pic I have of the pintucks is what we did in class to practice.

It was done on a wall quilt at the quilt shop, but here's my practice sample.... The orange circle next to it is a stitches eyelet.

I'm still not sure what they are, but they sure look nice!!
