I don't remember who gave me this link but thank you very much,I understand the first half 6 7/8 square cut on diagnal once and the half with the two colors are those squares the same size 6 7/8 cut on both diagnals?tia............mandy |
I know it's a little confusing at first if you are not familiar with the quilterscache format.
Look at the Supplies List (aka cutting instructions) on Page 2. Color 1 and 3 are cut at 7 1/4" square. |

Mandy there is a tutorial on Quilting Tutorials by Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Company that makes sewing and cutting pinwheels very easy. I use this method now whenever I make pinwheels. It is easy to follow and you can vary the sizes as needed. Here is the web site:

I second the recommendation by Tropical for easy pinwheels. I love this method and find it very fast; I would never consider any other method now!

I haven't tried this method yet. Just a tip that doing it this way you end up with bias edges on the outside of your pinwheels I think. So starch up your fabric well before cutting.
