PLA/cotton batting
Looking online for batting sales, I came across 50%cotton/50%PLA batting. PLA is a natural fiber made from sugars, maybe cane? I'd hesitate on the 100% PLA without touching it, but I'm curious about the blend.
Have any of you used it? How did it work out? I like cotton/poly blends, so this seems like something in the same line. I'm the rare person who is not a fan of Warm n Natural. Any thoughts? |
I never heard of it and I wouldn't buy anything with it in it. Just me. I only use polyester, warm without the weight.

I have never heard of this type of batting before, but I googled it and got this blog entry. I know this is just one person's opinion, but it does make me wary of the product.

After reading the blog, I'd be wary of it, too. Well, fact is, I would not buy it under any circumstances anyway. I like cotton or wool.

I may give this a try if I can find some. I do not like W&N as I am tired of flat quilts. I now use Hobbs polydown and love it. It shows up my quilting nicely and is warm and snuggley.

I too am tired of the flatness with W&N, want a bit of poof in the quilting, and would like the quilt to remain smooth rather than crinkley. |
