Placemats

How many Placemats are in a set?

4,6,or 8 depending on what you need. or 10 or 12

Generally dishes, glasses and utensils come in sets of 4, 8 or 12 place settings - with 8 being the most "popular/common". Don't know if that helps.

I generally just make sets of 4. However, if the kids and spouses are here for an informal meal, I really need 8. But, I just use two sets of 4 and nobody minds. If it is a holiday meal, I generally have a tablecloth on the table.

3. I always sell sets of 3 at the holiday boutiques where I sell my works. They go like hotcakes.

At craft shows, I usually see them sold in sets of 2 or 4. If people want more, they buy multiple sets. When I'm making them as a gift, I like to do (# of people in family) + 1 or 2.

If all the kids and grand kids were here I would need 15 but since they all don't come at once we get away with less. I am planning on making place mats and matching napkins for Thanksgiving and will need 8 this year.

I would start with how many chairs are around your table...usually 4 or 6.

I am making 6 placemats for our community bus driver. I have 3 tops finished and 3 to go. I bought the pattern on eBay for $2.50. It is more like Bargello married Lone Star and this is their child! :)

I usually make four unless I know for sure the family is larger.
