Someone posted these pictures on my Janome 7700 Yahoo group and my inquiry to her has gone unanswered. Was hoping someone here could direct me to a place to purchase the light that you see mounted to the body of this machine and shines directly at the needle area. Thanks, Ann in TN

I think I saw one on Nancy's notions. try this link: http://search.nancysnotions.com/?q=lights&sp_cs=UTF-8

It is the page with several bendable lights on it.

Most LQS are selling them along with their notions. Some are plug in models and others battery.

I have the plug in ... a royal pain, as you have this extra cord that gets in the way!!!

There are many options for this type of light. Some are as little as $10. Look around on the internet before you spend $50 for something you can get much cheaper. Just because it's advertised as for specifically quilters doesn't mean it's the only choice. The marketers tend to exploit us quilters, knowing that we will buy whatever they market to us.

I think it's neat, but I'm not sticking anything to my sewing machine. I hate leftover sticky when you want to remove it.

It's called the "Bendable Bright Light" and it's fantastic. http://www.bendablebrightlight.com/.

The base sticks to the machine, but if you want to remove the light, it just twists off the base so you can use it on other machines (in fact, they sell just the bases alone for this reason). I purchased one light and two extra bases so I can swap it from machine to machine.

Thanks everyone, since you all gave me the name of the product I did a google search and ordered from quilters warehouse. They had the best price that I could find for the light and also additional mounting kits. Of course I had to purchase some other stuff while I was there. I need to go outside and do some gardening and get away from this computer. Today's temps are the lowest so far for the summer and I plan to spend a good portion of it doing some weeding. I also have plans to meet up with a friend after she gets off of work and pull weeds in the flower beds in front of our church. Hope I can get out of bed in the morning! Ann in TN

Have you tried Command strips? I have even used them on my sewing machines. You just pull them to remove...NO residue left, even on walls and furniture. You can purchase them at any home store or even Michaels, JoAnns and Hobby Lobby.
