I found I was getting overwhelmed by my fabrics. The found a pattern I liked and decided to use mostly what I had to make it. I did have to buy the fabric that was suppose to be the main piece but then started using fabric I already had to build around it and it's great! I'm going to end up making a couple extra for charity!

I have said on here before that after I made my husband his first quilt, he willingly added a 950 sq ft "quilting room" on to our house. I definitely have a S-A-B-L-E!

I want pictures of what is too much. Sometimes I buy a lot, but I know I will have a use, even if it is for a backing. Good luck, you will feel better soon. Just go in and love your fabric!

Nope your not alone, witht the ideas I get form this board and ideas I get from magazines I will never be able to say I am done quilting.

I vowed not to buy more fabric until Christmas...didn't have the right shade of green. It wasn't MY fault. and the people who offer free patterns and ideas...who stays awake at night and dreams this stuff up? and people who sell fabric at yard sales-----what is WRONG with them? Don't they know i have too much now? I have been telling everyone about this site. it's the highlight of my day.

As one who can change projects between the sewing machine and the ironing board, I devised a system. If something has a deadline, it gets assigned a block of time every day that will see it finished. I choose a project that's getting stagnant and assign it 20 minutes a day. Otherwise I'm a will of the wisp, working on what I feel like.

Short answer: Never too much and future generations will finish what I don't get to. Besides I finish more than most people ever start.

By the way MG, where are those yard sales. Never see anything like fabric around here.

Here we are - enablers who say, "there is no such thing as too much fabric".

I didn't know you could use those words in the same sentence :? But when I get to feeling' What to do' I scroll through the Avatars or pic section here and this usually takes care of that feeling
