It's made of a combination of snowball blocks and four-patch blocks, along with some white squares (the size of the four-patch) and some white rectangles (which could be made by sewing two white blocks together). The overall pattern is created with a specific arrangement of those blocks, starting in the center. Someone else might have a specific name for this pattern.

I have seen that pattern before. I don't know the name, can't remember most names but, I do know I have seen it.

Two opposite cornered snowballs, or a four patch consisting of bkgrd/HST
HST/ bkgrd, then a four patch of scraps...this can be set like any log cabin design.....my one time neighbor showed my how to do this many yrs ago. And she called it " poor man's log cabin". I did one, good way to use odds and ends...........

It looks like Bonnie Hunter's Fourth of July quilt. It's a very pretty quilt

CaroleLee - what size are your 4 patch blocks?

I think it is, but with a different center. The quilt is built out from the middle, and the middle is just a different combination of the blocks than is in the Fourth of July.

The photo posted by MQ2, with the 16 patches is Arkansas Crossroads. One can combine the snowball blocks and 4, 9 or 16 patch blocks into many wonderful and fun looks.
Using this combination is a great opportunity to get out your graph paper and play!
