This is a really pretty quilt. It has very strong vertical lines with the stripes though and I think I prefer it without the sashing. If I were to sash it, I think I would prefer to use a fabric that is already in the quilt; avoid too strong a contrast.

Very pretty quilt without sashing.
I like no sashing but if you are going to go with sashing I think the yellow corner stones are a great but use the dark blue instead of black. Just my opinion
without gets my vote!

I like it either way. I do like the added yellow cornerstones.

It's very pretty without the black sashing.

I prefer your quilt withut sashing
Your quilt is beautiful with or without sashing. I would have never thought of the yellow. It is pretty.
I really like it with the sashing, just not only the yellow cornerstones, but the dark blue makes it really pop. Just MHO.
I'm no help to you, I like both :)

I think I like it with NO sashing. Which I usually like it but your blocks are so pretty the way they are
no sashing looks better
hey you asked |
I like the black and yellow...looks really pretty. You really need the contrast if you are doing piano key border...I'd also bind in the black... or maybe Navy blue instead of the black?

I like NO sashing. And, I love the quilt!! I am a heart person.........share the pattern name please. And if you have no where to put this quilt, I will be your new best friend :D
I vote for no sashing.
I like the white border with no black suggestion.
I would love to know the name of the pattern also.....I am really a heart person and love blue....thanks
I seem to be in the minority but I like it better with the sashing, especially if you are going to use a small black stopper border before the piano keys.

I agree better without sashing. |
I would not use sashing. It looks great.
Do you need sashing to finish? If so, a dark blue is my vote. IF you don't need to use sashing..... , I LOVE it without! It is really pretty. I don't care for the yellow and black, I think it distracts from the gorgeous pattern. Please post your finished project!
I think it looks great without the sashing. Very nice.
A very nice quilt. My opinoin would be no sashing on this one and try the teal color or the darker purple for the border, it will make the whole quilt pop!
It looks really nice without the sashing, but I would change the black for a darker shade of blue...maybe navy. I like how you brought the yellow into it. Then you could use both those colors in your border. Happy decision-making. Please show us when you are finished!!
