As a tool and die maker, I am seriously concerned with the quality of machining, fit and finish on any machine. Does anyone here have a reproduction they can offer insight into? Thanks to everyone. Country1's DH Don.

It is manufactured in either China or one of the other 3rd world countries...
I have tried the reproduction treadle and it is NOT the same...

I have one on my Singer 66. It works just great. It blends pretty well. I just wish the decals were a better match. If I ever come across a original vintage hand crank, I would probably replace it with a vintage one.

Are you talking about the crank itself or the entire machine?

Either way, it's made in China, and the quality will follow along with other products made in China. I'd rather see you get a vintage or antique hand crank made in America...I think you'd be happier. ;) :)

I really would prefer an original. Something with history and stories I could imagine it telling me if it could. Thanks, Don.

I have a true old one, and there is nothing like it. Haven't tried the reproductions....
