I've seen plexiglass quilting tables for sale for newer model machines, but does anyone know if I can buy one for my Bernina 830? I'm talking about the little 4-legged clear tables that snug up to your machine's free arm, for machines that aren't set into a cabinet. I would love to have more work space than the small metal table that came with the machine, originally.

My hubby just cut out a few patterns for me out of plexiglass. Now I wonder if he could make one for the machine I've been using..... Thanks for idea!

I bought mine from Nancy's Notion's for my 830

allbrands.com is where I got my "Sew Steady" plexiglass extension table ... custom fit for my Viking. When you order, you simply type in the specific machine it's for and they make them to order. Not too awfully expensive either, but delivery isn't immediate, of course.

This one is for the Janome, but they make them for any machine. I have mine for an old Pfaff and I love it!
Also this is the cheapest vendor I found. You have a choice of sizes and tell them which machine its for and they'll cut it to size.
