ON point

I am doing a table runner for Valentines day (obviously I wont be done in time) I sewed blocks on point and now I have the jagged edges. I was looking at some tutorials on line but I dont seem to grasp it. Does anyone know of any youtube videos that may make it easier?

type in making perfect points, removed stitches again last night on one section of mine, thought it had good points but edges were uneven. Just a thread width can put everything whacky, I pick the oddest times to breath deep and move my fabric also. Think I might be stressing and holding my breath, will try and watch for that tonight. Good luck, wishing you perfect points.

Click on Resources at the top of the page and then on articles, there is an article about on point in the list. Hope it helps!

Thank-you for sharing this great tute Jan. I am expanding my quilting skills (I hope) and I want to try an on point quilt but sometimes the math can be confusing. You make it clear and simple.

I know you asked for a youtube tutorial, and this is what I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Enc_TVwyWQE
They are actually selling a ruler that takes all of the math out of it, so I'm not sure if you are interested. There is also this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Enc_TVwyWQE (not selling anything :-)
