I use it for tied car blankets. Put a quilt top or cheater top on it, tie and bind it and it's VERY WARM. I always have at least one in my car during the fall, winter and spring.

Try this website http://www.ehow.com/how_5546025_make...ied-quilt.html for a quilt that is flannel on one side and polar fleece on the other.

I made one but didn't tie it, just too darn hard to pull the ties through both the fleece and flannel, so instead I sewed a horizontal line to join both pieces together, than a vertical line, then an X in each square. I pulled the fleece over the flannel to form the binding.

It was really easy and the fleece and flannel together are like a magnet so you can keep it nice and smooth and flat while you are sewing.

Here's the one I made

My daughters use it for tied blankets. They are so warm and cuddly.
