I was wondering if anyone has used one. Are they worth the money to even buy one

This has been discussed a few times in the past.

I have one and it works really well with some of my machines and not so well with others.

Overall, I like it and it is more convenient than having to re-thread the machine to wind a bobbin.

I think it depends on what type of machine you have.

Most of my bobbins do not work on the these.

I love mine... Use it all the time!

I have one for my longarm's bobbin. It works fine, but not great. I found it necessary to use one of those thread holders that brings the thread ABOVE the cone about 10". Then the hook on the top of that thread holder needs a bit of drag with the addition of a small wad of batting. It sure beats $80. or more for the "good ones".

thank you any ones better then the others

I got one and hardly ever used it. I wind several bobbins at a time so when i run out i have more to just put in. I wold rather spend my money on fabrics

I love mine!!! I needed it because I wanted to make lace gifts for Christmas but it was hard to wind the bobbin on my professional embroidery machine...I just couldn't reach it and I wanted both sides of the lace to look the same. I took a few bobbins to the store with me and asked them to show me how to use...well, it was a dream come true!!!!I highly reccommend it!!!
Hugs,
Ronni

I think it just depends on what machine you are using and how many bobbins you need to wind. I have one and don't use it that often- sometimes I find it just easier to use the sewing machine to wind the bobbin then set up the winder :? LOL

Check with the bobbin winders manufacturer to see if your bobbins will work on it... mine won't :(
