Wal-Mart -- Nicholasville, Danville, Stanford, and Somerset, Kentucky
They were planning to remove the ones in Danville and Stanford, but we called them and complained so much, they kept the sewing and yarn departments in both Wal-Marts. I also believe that sales have increased because of their decision to keep the departments. Otherwise it is about 65 miles to Lexington. They are remodeling the store in Danville and have added another rack for fabric and are getting new fabric. Hopefully, they will not do an about face. |
Desoto,Mo - House Springs, Mo still have fabrics. DD and I was told at the Arnold, MO. store that they only saw the same customers buying fabrics there and with remodel they would not carry anything that had to be measured, not true, new store only has a few craft things, no batting. The new store mainly carries Great Value brands of foods and a few national brands and prices seem to go up almost every week. We mainly shop at Sav-A-Lot for food, where we use to buy foods. Wal Marts buyers are lousy at it for the most part and buy some ugly, cheap products. Very dissappointed with the new type stores. We use to spend hundreds on fabrics there.

Union City, Tn. Fulton, Ky. These two still have theirs, I think. I believe this is a bad move on Walmart part. Their service is getting enough bad reviews, without getting all the Sewers mad!!!
