I can't seem to find an ad that I posted on Saturday. I am looking for it in the buy, sell area and it is quilt related, or at least some use Cricuts to cut out quilts. Can someone tell me where it might be? Thanks

Since you don't have a "regular" status under your name, I'm guessing it disappeared.

There are new rules for placing ads in the section. You might wish to look them over and I think that will answer your questions.

Thanks

I ran into the same problem awhile back and it took me awhile to navigate the site to get the information I needed.

Go to HOME (1st item, 1st line directly underneath QUILTING BOARD at the top center of the page.

Scroll down the list of topics and click on ALL TOPICS.

Scroll down and click on BUY/SELL/TRADE

Just above all the listings is a column header 'RULES' - you should find the reason why in here ... and I am suspecting it's because you're not designated a "regular" [poster]. It tells you what you need to do to become a "regular" - which is either you post 20 responses to items within 2 weeks' time ("regular" status) or make a purchase of a book ("community benefactor"). I myself bought BOSTON BLOCKS for our quilt guild and they have turned out some amazing charity quilts while buzzing through mountains of donated scraps.

While it may seem to be a pain, it protects the vast majority of good folks from not-so-nice predators who are new (not "known" as a presence on the chatboard) and wanting to take advantage of others. Someone new/unknown could come in, offer something for sale, get the money, not deliver the goods and bolt. Same thing for someone new/unknown asking for a donation of fabric, unused machines, [whatever]. It's a good rule.

I thought I had read the rules, but must have missed something. Since I have a job and can't respond to a lot on the list, I may not be meeting the quota. I will just list it on ebay. Thanks for your help.

I think they have changed it, now you need to be a member for 90 days before you are a regular. Correct me if I am wrong.
The rules are a lot tighter for posting ads in Classifieds, they just changed them.

Ebay is always happy to take your money ;)

well, i just read the rules. i'd just recently deleted my photos on items that sold because someone requested we do that. now they don't want us to do that. ah well. i'll try to adhere to the new rules of course. one a week too!

You also have a PM waiting to read that explains why it was deleted  Go to the top of the page see in yellow where it says New Private Messages - any time you have a new one there will be a number - click on that and you will find your messages
