Potato bags
I know this may be a silly question but does anyone have a pattern for the potatoe bags? I looked around under the tutorials but didn't see any.

I did a google search for potato bag pattern and there were a lot of hits. Just remember, everything has to be 100% cotton. Thread (don't embroider with rayon or poly), fabric and batting. Don't use warm & natural as it has a poly scrim. There was a special batting made for microwave use.

Warning - a friend of mine used one recently and it caught on fire in her microwave - so she got it out somehow(?) and threw it out the door and over the side of her wooden deck. It landed in a pile of dry leaves and caught the leaves on fire, then it caught the bottom of her deck on fire and she saw smoke and wound up having to call the fire department to put it out.

Could hers I had a poly batting? I've read stories where people have had Batting that had poly in it and it had melted and in some cases even caught fire. I have never heard I anyone having problems when using 100% cotton fabric, thread and batting. |
Another good reason not to use a microwave. :)
