I'm not sure what happened in the above post. I did a thumbs up and it didn't post, but my little reading smilie is in the caption. :?: I'm going to try another thumbs up to see if it works.
Okay, let's see. Edit: I'm not nuts. Honest, the thumbs up guy wasn't there and my reading guy was in the caption. Now everything is okay. Guess I got in a hurry. Anyway, I like all your Christmas goodies. |

Thanks, JulieM According to the Insul~bright website, we are supposed to be using one layer of a cotton batting (like warm & natural) with a layer of Insul~bright. See here: http://www.warmcompany.com/ibpage.html *At least one layer of cotton batting is recommended with Insul~Bright when used as Oven Mitts or Pot Holders. Insul~Bright is heat-RESISTANT, NOT heat-proof. It also says to NOT for use in a microwave. Good luck! Hope this helps. |

Beautiful work keep it up. I am working on baby quilts at the moment. Pot holders or mitts if I can figure it out are next. |
I decided to give this a try, and send some pictures of a few things I have made. I am not an experienced quilter by any means, but do enjoy trying. It is fun and enjoyable. So attached are a few of my pot holders, a couple table runners, and a picture of my crazy quilt. I am new at this, so see I can only send three pictures. If this works for me, I will send a couple more pictures later.... Marcine

The pot holders I make only require one layer of insul-brite, but the cotton fabric on one side ends up being 4 layers thick because of the way it is folded.
The pattern I used was shared on this board a couple of years ago. I made a lot of potholders 2 years ago as Christmas gifts. |
