Awhile back I had asked about pounce pads and there were mixed opinions about them so I decided to just go ahead and buy some! Well the wash off one would rub off if I so much as looked at it sideways  So not wanting to admit defeat I started playing around and found that if I spritzed it with hairspray it stays put!!! I hand quilt so it would get a lot of rubbing and it seems to work great and it still washes out!!! :D
I bought the iron off one too but havent messed with it yet.

Have you washed your experiment yet? I used to use hairspray over pastel drawings because of the shellac in it, but not sure about whether it will wash out.

Yes I washed it out by hand with just a bit of laundry soap and it all came out!

I love my pounce pad. The only thing is I like to iron off powder better than the regular, but I am going to try your hint. That way I can use the blue powder I bought. Thanks for the help. :D

Just a quick thought, I would test the hairspray on each fabric first.... I used hairspray to remove ink pen stains from fabric and it worked really well, would it remove some of the fabric dyes or lighten them? Especially on some of the cheaper fabric?

Very good point amma! I too have used it to remove ink from clothing, but it never damaged anything I used it on but did take the ink out. But I think it should be tested on any fabric planned on using first. I only tried it on the tone on tone white and off white I am using.

I really like the iron off kind that my sister bought. I put it on the border of a quilt before quilting. It stayed put and came off so easy with the iron.
