This would enable you to make perfect points in very little time. I am not big on gadgets but, this is one I would buy in a heart beat if I ran across it.

Yes, I have one and it works great. Susan Cleveland spoke at my guild several months ago and, after seeing her quilts, I had to have this tool. It's made of metal, though, so you just have to be careful as it can get hot.
On the video they said to put a string or ribbon in the hole at the bottom so you can pull it out of the prairie point while pressing it. I figure I will probably pick it up - ouch! |
I have it and like it. It just gets hot when you press several.

I took a look on the site and it really looks like a great gadget if you do a lot of these PP. I just can't figure out why they want so much for these things. I think a regular ruler would not work as one it gets hot, and two it is too think and it wouldn't come out correctly.

I too thought that the ruler would be too thick and wouldn't tolerate the heat of the iron. |
Don't have this ruler, but looks interesting if i were doing prairie points, might look into it more.
Thank you for the link to the site, this quilter has a unique/creative point of view. I didn't know about her till I followed the link. Several bloggers i've been reading have remarked how Quilt Market in KC had more for the modern quilters: fabric & patterns. the link you provided would attract these kinds of (art) type quilters. seems to cater |

I am considering getting one of these as I like how nice and crisp the prairie points look when made with it. Does anyone have one? Has anyone used one? I know I can make prairie points without it but mine never come out as nice! Any input would be appreciated!
Here is a video of how to use it http://www.piecesbewithyou.com/patte...ter_detail.htm |
