I'm so glad you asked this question. I have a rather large quilt that I'm making that requires pp's. I have them all folded and ironed and waiting. I'm rather lost. Perfect timing. I'll try to remember to inform you when done. Good luck with yours!

Prpts don't replace the binding. They are an addition to the quilt and the binding is attached after the Prpts.

PrPts are really easy. Try on a sample before doing the baby quilt. The binding is no harder to do with or without PrPts.

Enjoy them.
peace

EDIT: I have never made them using this method. I just cut and fold the squares and slip them next to each other with whatever spacing I need to make them fit. It is more casual. and IMHO, less work that cuting and folding a strip of points.

I will keep your edit in mind and that way I could use a variety of colors, I did look at how to do continuous in multiple colors and it looked like too much work, the one color looks not bad, each time a color is added=more work.
Thanks.

I don't like putting PP's on baby quilts as I think they could get in the babys's eyes. Not a good thing.

This is the quilt I am working on, instead of the prairie points on the edge, am doing on the edges. Pretty quilt in picture, have the pinwheels done, now am adding border. Then the prairie points......

Very well worth it and well recieved by the baby's parents. I like the one where it is scrappy and you use individual little points. It is not that hard. Find good directions. If I can do it you can. I did not find it that time consuming and it was lots of fun.

I am thinking of doing prairie points on a baby quilt, it is not that large and I think this would be good to try for a first time. I have searched on line, looking at the way Kaye Woods does it in one section. Just not sure which is the easiest and best way to do them. They look complicated though as compared to regular binding. Thanks for any suggestions.

I am not sure why they would go in the baby's yes. Once washed the points are not as perfect and they are soft.
