Prairie Points

I am making a quilt that has prairie points all the way around it, Now my problem is how do you do that if you sew them all on then how do you put the backing of the quilt on? Wuld I have to do that by hand as it says in my book or is there an easier way??
I guess I am just wishing there is an easy way!

Prairie Points are a great addition to a quilt but, can be a pain to deal with.

I guess whipping down the back would be about the same as whipping down the binding.
