Praise for my Janome DC2011

I just finished quilting (SID) and binding my hubby's military quilt (see post here). The quilt was big, bulky and HEAVY but my Janome never missed a beat. Hubby wasn't sure I could quilt such a big quilt on the machine. I only broke one needle and that was my fault. I am so proud of my little machine! She held her own today with a massive quilt. So she gets to rest for a few days....because I am so sore for all the sewing, 7 hours worth today just on his quilt!

Great job by you and your machine!!!!!!

Thanks. Hubby wants to use the quilt on our bed but then he said no because it didn't want the cats to get fur on it. Lol. He also promised me a massage after seeing what all I had to do and being crammed in our living room floor.

Sabrina, great job on your DH's quilt on your machine. My dad was a career Army soldier himself so I can just imagine the joy your husband gets from his great quilt.

Here is a pic of the quilt on the machine...I think I was in the middle of quilting. It was a lot of quilt for a little machine but like I said, she never missed a beat. So proud!

Wow! Excellent job! You're a better woman than I am...can't even imagine fighting something that big through the throat of my sewing machine.

I was scared actually but it wasn't as bad as I though. Now if I had to twist and turn more than I did, I am sure it would be hard but the SID was pretty easy actually. Took me probably 2 1/2 hours to do the SID. And that is with the needle breaking and me taking the plate off to clean under the bobbin, just worried part of the needle broke off in it, which it didn't.
