I saw them online....was going to ask the same question. Generally use lite-med gray for piecing and keep a supply of bobbins ready to go by winding at least 2 each time I sit down at the machine.

I wouldn't use anything else. The size depends upon your machine. Janome uses "L" size.

I use them all the time. Mine are size L and I use them in my Mega Quilter & my Designer 1 - they work great. They are the cardboard ones that I get at my LQS.

You can't use them in some machines, so be sure they work in yours.

and many other sites that sell NEBS.... i've had luck with them and they come in many sizes... i shared a "gross" with someone long ago and am still using.....

size "M" is for longarms...size "L" is for regular machines. HOWEVER, not all machines can take them. Berninas, Husqvarna/Vikings, and Pfaff usually can not use any of the prewound bobbins.

Signature makes a nice cotton one, and Superior threads has the Alex Anderson Masterpiece threads...LOVE them both.

I have been using the Signature ones for about 10 years now. They fit my vintage singer, my Janome Jem platinum, and my Elna with no issues!

I like them because they hold so much more thread and I don''t have to wind a bobbin so often. I embroidered a design the other evening and had to change my regular bobbins 3 times. Needless to say I replenished my pre-bobbins today.LOL

I recently bought " bobby cots" on ebay for my Pfaff and they're great. Had to buy 1/2 gross but got half white and half black - size L.
