Pre wound bobbins

Hi everyone,

Does anybody out there use pre wound bobbins in their embroidery machines? I have a Brother 4000d and would like to know how Hesse work and if they are any good..... What size or type I need.

Hugs

Caroline

I use prewound bobbins all the time. Not that brand tho.

I don't like to use them. I like my bobbin the same color as my top thread.

Most of the domestic machines are size L bobbin (smaller) the M's are usually for the mid and long arm machines. I have not heard of any of the domestic machines using the M size bobbins, but I have not looked at a new machine in years. Here is a link that will help http://www.allstitch.net/content/wha...chine-1026.cfm

I LOVE the prewounds..they hold so much more thread and it is finer weight for the back of the stitchout. I have Bro machines and my ULT's use the "L" size. The class 15 are the same diameter, but taller & won't work in my machines. I buy the plastic bobbins from metroemb and can re-use when I put color threads in the bobbin. I think the "M" ones are for commercial machines. I will never wind for embroidery again--except for matching colors. You will be amazed at how long you can embroider without replacing a bobbin!

I use mine in my babylock espire so I would imagine you could since the brothers and the babylocks are the same

I bought a case of white and a case of black when I bought my machine. I use NEB. My sister uses them, too. she gets them from me! We both have BabyLocks. I just have to remember to switch bobbin cases when using them and they require the adapter because they are shorter.

I use Nebbs prewound all the time. and if it doesnt fit the machine, I re wind on to the correct bobbin. works everytime. This is a finer thread and goes a long way when there is alot of embroidery to do.
