You should be able to think that all precuts would be correct but obviously that's not the case. Considering the price per yard of the precuts is absolutely inflated, it's still the only was to get a good selection of a fabric line. I'm very selective when I buy precuts.

I buy them to see whats out so in a sence I use them as samples. My two daughters make dresser toppers from them. I let them choose from those because they are precut and makes projects easy for kids! I don't buy them for quilts in mind per say.

I only buy Moda pre cuts. I have a Go so cutting my own is no problem using my yardage. Each one is cut the same size. I had problems with the 6" square die but was told to use a thin piece of paper on the die before the fabric and that solved the problem and I was cutting a lot of them not on grain which caused stretching of the fabric when cutting. I found most of my problems are user error in quilting.

Like BellaBoo above, I too have an AccucutGo and cut most everything upon it. I tried the pre-cuts from eBay, from chain sewing centers and from one LQS all to my disappointments. Poor cuts only lead to an unhappy quilter.

DH usually does most of the fabric cutting but I do NOT let him cut charm squares because he is not as precise as I am.

I also cut and sell charm packs and never got any complaints on mine .. don't have a DH to help me have to do it all myself

I bought a jelly roll and two of the strips were not 2 1/2". One of them was not even the same width on both ends. It was cut at an angle. It was annoying.
