Your post has made my day! Some of the responses are also just priceless, especially the one about the fabrics having to accept you just as you are. What a great post to begin the year 2010. Many thanks.

Okay, felt really guilty; now: laundry folded and put away, bed made, kitchen getting cleaned. Still in robe and hair sticking up, DH due home soon, still ROFLMBO! Thanks for the post.

Thank you all for starting out my morning with laughter and the reassurance that I am normal.....well, as normal as you all are.
I start out by throwing on my bathrobe, grabbing a cup of coffee, head outside (have always done this first thing in the morning-don't know why), take a long moment in the silence to just be thankful-for everything. Then I head back in and fire up the machine for a mini-marathon of sewing. I used to come back inside and throw on some shorts and pop an exercise tape on the TV. But the day I found myself sitting on the bed and watching it instead of doing it was the day I decided that I would rather be sewing. So now I am overweight and out of shape (but my 1/4" seam has dramatically improved) and I am much happier. Heidi |

Sew in high heels. I can't even walk in them.

I always have my cleanest dress on along with all of my makeup and hair done when I sew. And I am even learning to treadle in heels........No need to be shlumpy while we are sewing.   Billy |
Now I know where i go wrong, if i waited until i had got the house 'tidy' i'd still be there. What a wonderful instruction! Thanks
