I have to admit I am confused by thread count and even threads that don't say their weight. Your comments have been helpful though, love this Board.

I started to pay attention to thread count when I got "stung" on some sheets for my bed. Now I watch fabric content and thread count. I think it would be great on fabric if both were clearly marked. There must be some sort of a standard that bedding people have to comply with. Good question for fabric manufacturers. "What makes your fabric hand the best hand?"

I agree, ArtsyOne! We lost our fabrc store and now I have to shop at JAnne's. I hate the fabric there. I have to drive a long way to find good fabric. Good show that I am getting so old that I have almost stopped buying fabric and definitely no more patterns.
