Does anyone have instructions on how to make a pressing board to block your quilt blocks on?

jerri, it depends on how big you want it. There are several tutorials on ehow.com. Hope this helps

Sharon Schamber has a video on making a pressing board.

When I'm working on a quilt I mark the block size in pencil on my pressing board so that I can quickly square up each block.

Several years ago I made a blocking board for pinning down my crocheted doilies; same principal could be used to make a pressing board. I used a cork bulletin board. For your pressing board you could use a piece of wool laid down on the cork, then cover it with 1" checked fabric, making sure you don't stretch it wonky. Then when you press you use the squares like a ruler You can even pin into the cork if need be. That's how I held down my doilies when starching & blocking them. Just staple the fabric to the frame of the bulletin board.
