I just started a d9p using batiks. Which way did you press your seams? I have started pressing them open but it takes so long!! Any advice?

I press each row in opposite directions

I agree with jollytwo.I just made sure after i have the main block sewn in a row like ++++++++++++ You will see what i mean i hope. ++++++++++++

I rarely press the seams open. I think that weakens them and I wouldn't want the thread to break in the future. Hopefully my quilts will be handed down to future generations.

On the D9P I did I pressed the seams to the side & they nested nicely when the blocks were resewn.

Thanks everyone. I started pressing the seams to one side but I haven't sewn the blocks together yet. So I hope it works out.
