Pressing half and quarter inch triangles?

Do any of you press triangles instead of drawing a line and then sewing.
I have seen this done and wondered what the pros and cons with this method.
Thanks.

NO I don't. It might be difficult to see the pressing line for me and I don't want to stop once I get started.

I don't think it saves any time as I would take time to press vs time to mark. For me marking is way quicker.

Do you mean press the center line ... as if you had drawn it? Might try that. Because I'd be pressing on the bias I'm wondering if I can get it to press straight.

I press the center line when I'm doing flying geese and need that mark on the little squares but when doing half square triangles I use Thangles or Laundry Basket HST papers. The papers are so much easier and my triangles come out exact.

I have for the first time used "Clearly Perfect Angles" from New Leaf Stitches and it works for me - no paper, no pencils or pins. There is an instructional video at www.newleafstitches.com.
I think it was on utube I saw the Wonder Cut Ruler, and it is the easiest way of doing HST I have seen.

Wondercut ruler is awesome! I can't find mine though, can't for the life of me figure out where I put it!

I attached the clearly perfect angles semi-permanently to my machine I like it so much. I find I stitch everything straighter by having those longer marks to line up with

I'm not sure that I'm answering your question, but if you're talking about half-square triangles, I use Tiger Tape, and it works really well.
