Which is preferred for Long Arm Quilting? Pressing seams open, or to one side, or does it matter?
I am working on a quilt that I will have quilted, and I was wondering if I should be pressing all of the seams open?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The only quilt I had that was just a little troublesome was a foundation pieced string quilt. I now iron these seams open to avoid this, but it just required a little tension adjusting. Other than that I haven't noticed any difference with other quilts.

The quilter that I take my really big quilts to likes them pressed to the side. You have to use a very small stitch length if you press them open.

Thanks,
That is good news.
I usually do not press seams open.
