never mind - just scrolled down and saw that someone just brought this subject up and questions are answered.
was watching Fons/Porter the other day and apparently I press wrong when pressing seam open She shows that first you need to press the seam when closed first to set the seam, then open up and press toward dark fabric. does this make sense? does anyone know why you are supposed to press the seam before opening to press? |

It kind of sinks the thread into the fabric and creates a tighter seam.

I also find that it helps me to get a better pressed seam too.
