It ranges from $8 - $11 at the local quilt shops. I stick to buying fabric at the discount fabric store, where I can get stuff for $2 a yard.

7.99-10.99 per yard but all high quality fabrics.

I don't think we have a LQS in Corpus....I get all my material from wal-mart; JoAnn's or Hancock....

The price in my shop for regular cotton fabric starts at $4.50yd, $5.95 yd for printed batiks, and $7.95 yd for regular batiks. We also have a saleroom where it starts at $2.49yd and goes to $3.99 yd. Of course new lines of fabric are higher, although we keep them to around $8.00 yd.

I was in a local shop on Sat. after a quilt meeting. Most were marked $12.00 a yd. There was a bargain corner where fabric was $7.00 a yard. I just can't get use to these higher prices.

Around $4 a yard for 100% cotton for quilting. Moda & Thimbleberry are more expensive.
