Prices on Brother Sew/embroidery machines ??

HI Everyone...I"d like to know if anyone recently shopped for " Brother "sewing/embroidery machines.. I'm leaning toward the Quattro 2 and the Dream Weaver XE.....Anyone have a ballpark cost on these ??? And do you like them ..or have you had a chance to play on either one ??? Thanks in advance !!!

I paid 6600 with trade in on my dreamweaver I think the Quattro runs about 2k more but you can find discounted floor models. The dreamweaver has more quilting features. The Quattro has the camera but the dreamweaver has the laser to assist in positioning. If you do more embroidery than quilting I would go with the quattro

I have the Quattro and love it! I do not know much about the dream weaver, just looked at I some when I was at the shop, but looks like a very nice machine. Either way you go, you can't go wrong.

I paid $4900 for my Dreamweaver about three weeks ago. I got a floor model that had sat on the floor but had never even been plugged in. So far I love the Dreamweaver! The embroidery hoops are bigger than the 4x4 I had on my SE400. Yesterday I was using the embroidery and the machine started sounding rough. I immediately got a message saying it was incorrectly threaded and to retread it. On my old machine I would have to guess at what was wrong after breaking needles and wasting time. On my old machine when using the embroidery part the needle would move across the fabric to the next spot without cutting the thread. Then I would have to go through cutting all the threads. It has a laser guide to help you sew straight lines. These are just small instances of how great this machine is! I've just barely scratched the surface of what it can do!
