I gave my DIL a Bow Tucks Tote Bag for her birthday. Her co-workers loved it and asked how much I'd charge to make them one, but I'm not sure what is a good price to charge. I'm not much of a purse lady myself...I used to use a cell phone wallet until I started wearing glasses and needed some extra space. :)

So have any of you sold the Bow Tucks Tote? How much would you pay for one if you were buying it?

Thanks

There is a lady that sells these in the buy and sell thread that has a fourty five dollar price on them.

i was at a quilt show today, and they were selling kits for purses and they were $40.00 for pattern and everything needed.Pattern alone was $10.00, so i would think 30.00 in materials plus whatever you think your time is worth to make one.

I make them for my LQS and they charge $47.50. There is a lot of money in those bags with the fusible fleece, fabric, and your labor.

charge a good price... people will pay if they really want one... good luck.

at least 40 to cover your cost and a little extra. You won't get rich, but it is so fun to make. i make and sell them mostly locally. If someone sends me their fabric i charge 25 pluse return shipping. 8 for usps priority.

I was thinking $35-40 or so. I guess I'm on the right track. I don't want to do a lot of them, but if I can do some up with my stash, that means more money to replenish it. LOL

Thanks for your input!
