The Civil War/reproduction quilt shops are alive and well. You just have to venture out and find them.

Some of us can't hand quilt due to disability issues. I wish I could. I greatly admire hand quilted quilts and those who make them, but if I couldn't machine piece and machine quilt I would be unable to make quilts. And I would miss the joy and pleasure of making quilts for myself or family and friends.

I won't go too far into the hand quilting versus machine quilting debate because I am an avid machine quilter...but I do on occasion hand quilt. I appreciate and love both! :)
