Has anyone ever been brave enough to try running steam a seam through a printer to get the design you want without having to trace it onto the fusible? It seems like an inkjet type of printer would work but I'm a little chicken to try it.

I've used a couple of these types of papers/fusibles, but not this particular brand. They work really well...I love 'em! It's so much better than tracing onto the web, etc. I copy it with my All-In-One printer, onto this paper, then cut out and fuse onto my fabric. This is what I've started using for applique. I'm still testing out a couple of brands I got at the Houston Quilt Festival, but so far, it's scoring 100% in my book!

Iron freezer paper or copy paper to the edge of the fusible and then run it through... worse case scenario? it will stick to the paper :D:D:D

I absolutely do this all the time. Don't know if I use the same brand. But, If I can skip a step I will. I will print directly onto my iron on stabilizer (for appliques - for example). I can then cut out the pieces and affix to the different fabrics. Remember to print the mirror image though if your design requires a right or left. Works great. Also run through muslin to make my labels. Ironing them afterwards sets the ink and I'm good to go.
