I would like to experiment with printing my own fabrics. I need some input from anyone. Because I do miniatures I have a hard time finding the prints and the colors I want. So I thought I would try to do my own. I thought about getting or making my own stamp and using fabric paint on cotton.

There are a lot of fabrics I like that aren't being made any more I would like to see if I could use my pictures of them to print off on my copier but I probably need to check on copywrites or something huh?

Any suggestions or experinces?

I watch people on Simply Quilts do their own and would like to try!

Thanks Chele I went and looked at it. I bookmarked it so I can go back and get more in depth in the site.. $18 a yard is a bit much tho. I will have to think about it.

Thanks for the link!! It looks really interesting!

Yes, thanks Chele! This site has been added to my favorites. I think it's more economical than trying to get a special printer, special inks, and special paper/fabrics to print my own. Especially for $5 a swatch...and they use Moda fabric!! :)
