Has anyone used freezer paper and a good fabric rather than the expensive fabric "paper" sheets to print photos onto fabric for a memory quilt. If so, what needs to be done to the fabric after you print?
Thanks

I do this all the time. You have to use Bubble Jet set or it will wash out tho. I got mine cjenkins here is does a ton of fabric.

Yes, but do make sure you use bubble jet or it will wash out.

Has anyone used Avery Printable Fabric (#3384). I've printed several photos for a quilt and they came out beautiful, but with the heatseal backing they are fairly stiff. The instructions say to iron or sew on, but on what? I just want to use the blocks in a quilt. Is the backing supposed to be peeled off somehow? Thanks for any advice.

terr-terr, good luck with your project. I recently made a quilt with photos for the first time and it came out very well. I would recommend making sure your pictures are no larger than about 5" square, so that you won't have problems with batting bunching and migrating later on.

May I call you sometime and let me ask you a few question about this kind of printing?

What did the instructions say? All the Printable Fabric I have used does have backing you peel off.
