Problem with color bleed...
I have a flannel top quilt that I have already washed and dried. When I took it out of the dryer, it was fine, no color bleeds, but I think it must not have been COMPLETELY dry because now I have 4 areas on the quilt where the red has run into the white and yellow... I looked up color bleed here and I'm unsure how to try to fix... Seems like the color catchers have to be used before it's dried and am not completely sure how the Synthrapol (sp?) works... Someone please help!

I sympathize! I just posted questions about this too. I wish I could help, but I'm not knowledgable. I know others will have just the advice you need. I'm sure all will be well soon.

Washing in hot water with Synthrapol should take out the bleeds. Sometimes you need to wash more than once although, with the type of bleed you describe, once will probably be enough. Synthrapol requires hot water and lots of it, so it is not recommended for use in domestic front-loading washing machines.
