Thanks everyone...hmmmmm will have the power cord checked; never thought it could be faulty and still have the light working. So I rung the dealer again this morning and spoke to another gentleman who was terrific and advised me that they would look at it for no cost whether they found a fault or not. He advised me to note his name and should I decide in the future to have the machine looked at, to mention my conversation with him. Sounds good to me. I can appreciate it may difficult to identify as it is an intermittent shorting and quite possibly not visually evident so maybe I will wait until it becomes more and more frequent to the point that I deem it unreliable. Thanks again everyone for your opinions. And yes, I do still love this machine....it's a beaut!

He looked after mine. He also just listened to my other machine (over the phone) and told me how to fix it. Great service.

I have this machine and LOVE it. I never have had a problem. I know you hate to take it in and do without it for a period of time, but an electrical appliance with a short is not something to put off. If it has a short, it could be dangerous to you or a fire hazard.

Thanks for this info regarding the Juki 2010. I have this machine as well and do like it a lot. I made a note of the contact person in case I would ever need it. I do hope your problem is resolved quickly.

If they are willing to look at it, take it in now. You never know if the same person will be there, some places change frequently. If they can't find the problem then contact Jukie directly. Good luck

the dealer you got it from should take it and fix it that is the bottom line you may have to contact the juki company only a few months old it should not do that and you should not have to pay
